The Aster File enters the Cascade, a chain of worlds nested inside worlds where creators may themselves be creations. Here, dimensions measure not only space but the number of freedoms a reality can protect at once.
The first pages do not explain the world away. They establish a disturbance, then let its consequences travel through private rooms, public systems and the language people use when they need the unbearable to sound ordinary.

After the first disturbance
